Natasha L. Gadson is a preacher, teacher, organizational communication consultant, and a lover of the creative arts. Born and raised in New York, Natasha developed a love for the creative arts early in life having studied dance, drama, and music from a young age. After earning an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Morgan State University, she began her professional career in marketing and account management. Natasha felt there had to be more to life than collecting a check and the hopes of retirement, so she returned to school to pursue graduate studies.
While earning an M.A. in Organizational Communication at Howard University, Natasha learned to embrace the power of story and the lived experiences of others. Focusing her research in the area of leadership development and transition in church organizations, she grew as a writer, a researcher, and most importantly as a leader. It was through this process that she learned the importance of honoring the voice of every individual, and allowing their stories to be heard and recognized.
Natasha furthered her research in the area of leadership development, this time applying the lens of theology, while earning a Master of Theological Studies at Wesley Theological Seminary. Her research focused on Jesus’ earthly leadership as a paradigm for transformational leadership. During her time at Wesley, God allowed Natasha to fully integrate her varied gifts and passions. Fully utilizing an environment that embraces the union of theology and the arts, Natasha resurrected her love for creative arts through the study of drama for worship.
In 2007, Natasha created KerygmaWord LLC to serve as the umbrella for her preaching, teaching, and consulting activities. Over time the brand has evolved and shifted, with a particular focus on the unique experiences and challenges of women. In addition Natasha is an educator, having taught courses in communication and business at Howard University, Prince George’s Community College, and University of Maryland University College. Natasha also serves as an ordained itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and is actively involved in a wide range of ministry.
Natasha pursues her vision for KerygmaWord alongside her husband and college sweetheart Damon W. Gadson, founder and CEO of Empire Auto Detailers. Together they are the proud parents of a 3 year old Yorkie-Poo, Rowdy Gadson.
